PCRC provides programs both within the Cluster Outreach Center and out in the community, supporting the mission of the organization. All programs are available to members of the Pottstown community, with several programs also serving individuals throughout Montgomery County.
In 1967, several area churches banded together with the purpose of providing services to the community that were either missing or being handled by individuals and congregations, who were acting independently of each other. PCRC became a non-profit corporation in 1971. From 1988 through June 2011 PCRC rented space at 137 Walnut Street, known as the Cluster Outreach Center. Since 2008 the Board of Directors has created and adopted three separate multi-year strategic plans and the mission statement above reflects' our current mission. PCRC purchased the facility at 57 North Franklin Street, Pottstown in January 2010. The Cluster Outreach Center moved to its current and permanent location following the completion of extensive renovations, opening the doors to clients on July 5, 2011. PCRC has continued to grow since the move to its new home with the development and implementation of new programs and the ability to serve more community members. In July 2015, the property adjacent to our current facility was purchased to support our educational programs and house our administrative and supportive services staff.
